Nasi Kandar Sulaiman Goes Viral Again When Man Eats RM222 Worth Of Squid, Prawns & More

A Penang man set a new record at Nasi Kandar Sulaiman by ordering and consuming RM222 worth of nasi kandar in 55 minutes yesterday, 8 February

"Record smashed RM222. All-time biggest record ever. Yet again, it's a Penangite," read the Facebook caption posted by Nasi Kandar Sulaiman.

"One person devoured all of this. Utterly impressive. We didn't force him, nor did we ask him to eat this. He came of his own accord and set the record. Truly remarkable," wrote the George Town restaurant.

The post displayed a gallery of photos of the man, wearing a black jersey and black cap, posing proudly with a plate piled high with food.

To date, the post has garnered over 5.1K likes, 1.2K comments, and 441 shares.

  • Sotong (Squid): RM7.50 per piece, totaling 16 pieces
  • Udang (Prawns): RM7.50 per piece, totaling 10 pieces
  • Ayam (Chicken): RM5.50 per piece, totaling 2 pieces
  • Telur Sotong (Squid Eggs): RM7.00
  • Bendi (Okra): RM1.00
  • Nasi (Rice): RM1.50
  • Kambing (Mutton): RM7.00

Videos taken by the restaurant that were shared in the comments section revealed the man eating his meal at different time stamps

According to the restaurant, their guest finished his whole meal in just under an hour. The attached video revealed clean plates and a satisfied customer.

The previous record was set by a different man, when he ordered RM218 worth of nasi kandar for himself on 20 January. 

The former record holder's order consisted of 12 pieces of squid, 12 whole prawns, chicken, fish, meat, lamb, and a salted duck egg.
