<p>The current price for a ticket from JB Sentral to Woodlands is already RM5, while from Woodlands to JB Sentral, it costs SGD5 (RM17.80). </p>
<p><b>The new move, announced last Friday, 16 February, will set the price at RM5 both ways for Malaysian citizens.</b></p>
<p>An estimated 40,000 Malaysian citizens use the train service to commute daily between Johor and Singapore.</p>
<p>Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) announced tickets are already available for purchase at the new pricing for trips in August onwards.</p>

<p>Speaking to the press, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the department is conducting a survey to assess the feasibility of extending Malaysia&#8217;s passport validity.</p>
<p>The survey will study neighbouring countries that have already extended passport validity to 10 years, such as Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore.</p>
<p>Saifuddin Nasution expressed confidence that the insights gathered from this survey would inform policy decisions regarding the transition from a five-year to a 10-year validity period for Malaysian passports.</p>

<p>Collaborating with Sunway Medical Centre Children&#8217;s Emergency Department and with SunMed Kid&#8217;s Club, the event attracted parents and their children for a day filled with enjoyable and educational activities.</p>

<p>Attendees actively engaged in learning these life-saving techniques by practising on dolls, which infusing an element of playfulness into the educational process.</p>

<p>With 23 specialised fields in paediatric care, including in areas such as hemato-oncology, intensive care, endocrinology, cardiology, rheumatology, nephrology, gastroenterology, dermatology, and neonatology, SMC is fully equipped and ready to meet all paediatric healthcare needs.</p>

<p>&#8220;The rise in incidents, particularly after extended weekends or school holidays, is a cause for growing concern. Based on my experience, I&#8217;ve noticed the challenges parents face when dealing with injuries or even medical conditions in their children. Many are uncertain about when to seek help at the hospital for their kids. Additionally, they may lack clarity on the initial steps to take before arriving at the children&#8217;s emergency department,&#8221; said Dr Borhan.</p>
<p>&#8220;Our launch of the Paediatric First Aid Ebook aims to address this knowledge gap, providing practical insights on administering crucial care at home before reaching the hospital. This resource is designed to help parents recognise emergencies that require immediate attention and guidance.&#8221;</p>
