<p><p>Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusof recently announced that the state government aims to establish 350 EVCBs in the state by 2025, aligning with the planning guidelines outlined by the Town and Country Planning Department.</p>

<p>Speaking to <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" href="https://www.bernama.com/en/general/news.php?id=2271587">Bernama</a>, Ab Rauf mentioned that a total of 118 DC and AC EVCBs have been set up across 40 sites in various urban areas in the state.</p>
<p>&#8220;The state government welcomes this initiative and will adopt the planning guidelines in all applications for the setting up of the EVCBs in the state,&#8221; said Rauf at the launch of the EV Charging Hub at Concept Hotel by EVPower Sdn Bhd on Monday, 19 February.﻿</p>
<p>&#8220;As such, I want the Melaka Green Technology Corporation (PTHM) to act promptly to ensure its role and function as the main driver of green technology development in the state,&#8221; he added.</p>

<p>PTHM chief executive officer Mohd Hafizam Mustaffa stated that they are actively scouting for new locations to install EV charging bays in key towns across Melaka. He mentioned to Bernama that PTHM plans to work closely with local authorities and EV charging bay installation companies to meet the goal of establishing 350 EV charging bays in Melaka by 2025.</p>
<p>&#8220;We have guidelines for the setting up of EV charging bays as it involves safety issues, especially with the use of high currents, particularly for DC chargers,&#8221; said Hafizam.</p>
<p>&#8220;At present, there are EVs priced below RM100,000, and with the expected increase in EV users, we don&#8217;t want visitors to Melaka to face difficulties in charging their vehicles,&#8221; he added.</p>

<p>The supercharging rate is RM1.25/kWh. It also comes with an idle fee of up to RM4/minute when the Supercharging Station is fully occupied.</p>

<p>The Audi SQ8 e-tron distinguishes itself by having a third electric motor at the rear, elevating its total power output to an impressive 503PS (370kW) and a substantial 973Nm of torque in boost mode. </p>
<p>These figures are noteworthy, especially when compared to the Audi RS e-tron GT, which reaches up to 830Nm of torque in boost mode. Equipped with a two-stage ratio planetary gearbox featuring a single gear, the SQ8 e-tron accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.1 seconds (4.5 seconds in boost mode). Even though its top speed is capped at 210km/h, it&#8217;s still 10km/h faster than that of the Audi Q8 e-tron.</p>

<p><p>In terms of range, both Audi SQ8 e-tron variants are equipped with a larger 114kW battery pack (106kW net capacity), offering a range of up to 471km for the Sportback and 458km for the SQ8 e-tron as measured on the WLTP cycle. The Sportback&#8217;s more aerodynamic shape and the addition of underbody wheel spoilers result in its slightly higher range.</p>
<p>For charging, the Audi SQ8 e-tron offers up to 22kW of AC charging as a standard feature, allowing a full charge in less than five hours. In addition, DC charging is of up to 170kW is available, enabling the SQ8 to go from 10-80% charge in just 31 minutes when connected to a compatible charging station.</p>

<p><p>The recall, which involves the Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y, is primarily due to issues with the automatic steering assist function. The recall notice indicates that when the automatic steering function is activated, drivers may misuse the combined driving function, posing an increased risk of accidents.</p>
<p>Additionally, another recall has been initiated to address the door-unlock logic control in 7,538 imported Model S and Model X units ﻿manufactured between October 2022 and November 2023. This measure aims to prevent door latches from opening in the event of a collision.</p>
