<p><p>Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusof recently announced that the state government aims to establish 350 EVCBs in the state by 2025, aligning with the planning guidelines outlined by the Town and Country Planning Department.</p>

<p>Speaking to <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" href="https://www.bernama.com/en/general/news.php?id=2271587">Bernama</a>, Ab Rauf mentioned that a total of 118 DC and AC EVCBs have been set up across 40 sites in various urban areas in the state.</p>
<p>&#8220;The state government welcomes this initiative and will adopt the planning guidelines in all applications for the setting up of the EVCBs in the state,&#8221; said Rauf at the launch of the EV Charging Hub at Concept Hotel by EVPower Sdn Bhd on Monday, 19 February.﻿</p>
<p>&#8220;As such, I want the Melaka Green Technology Corporation (PTHM) to act promptly to ensure its role and function as the main driver of green technology development in the state,&#8221; he added.</p>

<p>PTHM chief executive officer Mohd Hafizam Mustaffa stated that they are actively scouting for new locations to install EV charging bays in key towns across Melaka. He mentioned to Bernama that PTHM plans to work closely with local authorities and EV charging bay installation companies to meet the goal of establishing 350 EV charging bays in Melaka by 2025.</p>
<p>&#8220;We have guidelines for the setting up of EV charging bays as it involves safety issues, especially with the use of high currents, particularly for DC chargers,&#8221; said Hafizam.</p>
<p>&#8220;At present, there are EVs priced below RM100,000, and with the expected increase in EV users, we don&#8217;t want visitors to Melaka to face difficulties in charging their vehicles,&#8221; he added.</p>

With an Ampere-based GPU, the Switch 2 could leverage modern rendering techniques such as DLSS 2 super-resolution and DLSS 3.5 ray reconstruction. However, frame generation features are not expected on the console. Sticking with an ARM SoC could potentially enable the Switch 2 to support backwards-compatibility.</p>

<p><p>The story of the Sneaker X gaming PC traces back to late 2020 and early 2021, when renowned PC modder from Thailand, Juggapat Thonglue, also known as JMDF in the scene, submitted the JMDF Sneaker as one of his entries for the Cooler Master Case Mod Series 2020.</p>
<p>This project was selected as one of the Best Art Direction winners. Subsequently, Cooler Master was so impressed with the project that they decided to collaborate with JMDF to create a version that could be commercially available to the public, leading to the creation of the Sneaker X gaming PC.</p>

<p>The supercharging rate is RM1.25/kWh. It also comes with an idle fee of up to RM4/minute when the Supercharging Station is fully occupied.</p>

<p><p>The MouthPad, a clever wordplay on the word &#8216;mousepad&#8217;, is a retainer-style contraption equipped with a touchpad, battery, and Bluetooth connectivity. </p>
<p>Developed by Augmental Technologies Inc, a spin-off from MIT Media Lab, the device is crafted from KeySplint Soft resin, a dental-grade material commonly used in aligners, bite guards, and similar oral appliances. The battery is produced by a company called Varta, renowned for its history of producing safe, medical implant-grade batteries, according to the creators of MouthPad.</p>
<p>The mouthpiece closely resembles an Invisalign retainer, though it lacks the section covering the front teeth and incorporates computer components. Similar to a conventional retainer, individuals must provide dental impressions during the ordering process. Subsequently, the retainer is 3D-printed based on the individual&#8217;s dental structure.</p>

<p><p>Once inserted into the user&#8217;s mouth, the MouthPad serves as a cursor on iPhones, enabling users to access apps and menus, including the camera.</p>
<p>According to the company, any device supporting a Bluetooth mouse connection should be compatible.</p>
<p>The MouthPad ﻿boasts a battery life of five hours on a single charge, with plans to extend this to eight hours by March. Recharging the device takes approximately an hour and a half.</p>
<p>Measuring at a thickness of 0.7mm in most areas, except where the computer capsule is located, and with the trackpad on the roof of the mouth measuring 5mm thick, the entire device weighs a mere 7.5g. Once worn, it is discreet, allowing for normal speech, albeit with a slight lisp common with any retainer. However, it must be removed while eating.</p>

<p>These devices are described as foldable clamshell-style phones, similar to Samsung&#8217;s Galaxy Z Flip series, rather than phones that transform into tablets like the Galaxy Z Fold or Google&#8217;s Pixel Fold. The development of these phones is said to be in the early stages and there&#8217;s a possibility they may not proceed to market or could be cancelled. If they do reach the market, it&#8217;s unlikely to be before 2025.</p>

<p>&#8220;Ultimately, this begs the question of how biological systems might be engineered to host this classic millennial FPS,&#8221; she added.</p>

<p>According to Ramlan, the key to the project&#8217;s success lies in programming E. coli cells to function as conventional pixels, capable of toggling between &#8220;on&#8221; or &#8220;off&#8221; states.</p>
<p>These cells must be able to collectively illuminate to form images, similar to a computer monitor or TV screen. To achieve this, Ramlan began by cultivating cells within a 32×48 1-bit well plate. </p>
<p>Then, she connected this makeshift screen to a controller equipped with the capability to process and interpret binary code. This controller then translates the binary instructions into commands that regulate the &#8220;addition or omission of a repressor controlling the fluorescence of the cells&#8221;.</p>
<p>Essentially, Ramlan replaced the <b>conventional light-emitting diodes found in a traditional screen with glowing bacterial cells</b>, thereby simulating a screen.</p>

<p>Ramlan&#8217;s discovery has an interesting caveat: it requires approximately 70 minutes to fully illuminate and then another eight hours and 20 minutes to dim back to its original state. In total, this process takes around nine hours to display a single frame of the video game. Considering that the original <i>Doom</i> game runs at a maximum of 35 frames per second, it becomes apparent that playing through the entire game using Ramlan&#8217;s setup would take an incredibly long time. </p>
<p>In fact, Ramlan&#8217;s calculations estimate it would take approximately 599 years to complete the game. This staggering timeframe underscores the experimental nature of the project and the inherent challenges associated with pushing the boundaries of technology and biology in this manner.</p>
