Mrs Malaysia World 2023 To Debut Largest Wau Costume Ever In Las Vegas
The costume weighs approximately 10kg.
Mrs Malaysia World 2023 Vanishaantini Pellarameas will be wearing a stunning national costume in the upcoming Mrs World pageant in Las Vegas this month

According to the Mrs Malaysia World official Instagram page, the Malaysian finalist, more fondly known as Vanishaa, will be donning the largest wau costume ever made in Malaysia at the pageant finals starting on 19 January.
She debuted the dress at a hotel in Klang last Saturday, 30 December, to enter the Malaysia Book of Records.
The costume, named 'Puteri Wau Bulan', was made by Sarawak designer Saran Anak Lagong, who wanted to showcase Malaysia's rich cultural heritage through its design
The wau features traditional floral batik patterns, comprising of orchids, hibiscus, pagoda flowers, ixoras, bougainvillea, roses, and frangipanis.
The entire costume, measuring 3.8m high and 4.8m wide, weighs approximately 10kg.

Vanishaa hopes to make Malaysia proud and publicise the country's name at the international pageant
"I am proud to represent Malaysia at the international level with this costume as I want to showcase something unique and unprecedented," she told reporters at the event, as quoted by Bernama.
The 27-year-old entrepreneur added that besides her busy schedule, she has been preparing herself mentally and physically for the pageant.
"I have been consistently training for the catwalk since March, taking care of my health while managing my business and engaging in social work. I hope to give my best at the competition," she said.
