<p>A spokesperson for the Singapore-based flight training company, Aviation Safety Technology (AST), which owns the aircraft, said the flight was in preparation for the Singapore Airshow, <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" href="https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se-asia/bodies-of-2-malaysians-recovered-after-singapore-owned-light-plane-crashes-in-selangor">reported</a> The Straits Times.</p>
<p>The airshow is scheduled to take place from 20 to 25 February.</p>
<p>As per AST&#8217;s website, the aircraft is part of the airshow&#8217;s outdoor static display.</p>

<p>According to the New Straits Times, residents in Kampung Tok Muda, Kapar, <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" href="https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2024/02/1012957/explosion-heard-kapar-plane-crash">said</a> they heard a powerful explosion, causing their houses to shake, before realising that an aircraft had crashed nearby.</p>

<p>Data from the flight tracking website <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" href="https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/i-pooc#33f9f8e4">FlightRadar24</a> shows that the aircraft flew southwards and made a right turn towards the west. The aircraft then ascended to an altitude of 1,725ft and maintained an airspeed of around 130 knots (240km/h). Soon, it began losing altitude, with the last known flight data showing that it reached a vertical speed of negative 4,096ft per minute.</p>

<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m writing this so that [the Klang Municipal Council (MPK)] will not claim [it is their work]. If I don&#8217;t write this, we&#8217;ll be using our own money but they will claim it [as their work],&#8221; he added.</p>
<p>According to the video&#8217;s caption, a pothole had caused a motorcyclist to fall, which prompted the man to take it upon himself to patch the road.</p>
<p>&#8220;Despite complaining to the Sentosa assemblyman, there has been no action. In the end, the public will fix it with their own money! What&#8217;s the point of having a government like this?&#8221; read the caption.</p>

<p>&#8220;The area&#8217;s [previous] council member had advised MPK to take action and repair the road, but there was no follow-up before their term ended, and the new council member will begin work on 15 January,&#8221; he wrote.</p>
<p>&#8220;We will meet with MPK again this [Wednesday] to ensure that the repair of all damaged roads in Taman Sentosa and Klang is prioritised,&#8221; he added.</p>
<p>Gunaraj also thanked the man for fixing the road on his own accord and promised, once again, to advise MPK to take immediate action to ensure the safety of road users.</p>

<p><p>According to the Mrs Malaysia World <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" href="https://www.instagram.com/mrs_malaysia_world_/">official Instagram page</a>, the Malaysian finalist, more fondly known as <b>Vanishaa, will be donning the largest wau costume ever made in Malaysia at the pageant finals</b> starting on 19 January.</p>
<p>She debuted the dress at a hotel in Klang last Saturday, 30 December, to enter the Malaysia Book of Records.</p>

<h2>The costume, named &#8216;Puteri Wau Bulan&#8217;, was made by Sarawak designer Saran Anak Lagong, who wanted to showcase Malaysia&#8217;s rich cultural heritage through its design</h2>

<p><p>The wau features traditional floral batik patterns, comprising of orchids, hibiscus, pagoda flowers, ixoras, bougainvillea, roses, and frangipanis.</p>
<p>The entire costume, measuring 3.8m high and 4.8m wide, weighs approximately 10kg.﻿</p>

<p><p><b>&#8220;I am proud to represent Malaysia at the international level with this costume as I want to showcase something unique and unprecedented,&#8221;</b> she told reporters at the event, as quoted by <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" href="https://www.bernama.com/en/news.php?id=2258405">Bernama</a>.</p>
<p>The 27-year-old entrepreneur added that besides her busy schedule, she has been preparing herself mentally and physically for the pageant.</p>
<p>&#8220;I have been consistently training for the catwalk since March, taking care of my health while managing my business and engaging in social work. I hope to give my best at the competition,&#8221; she said.</p>
