It's Confirmed: Najib Got A 50% Discount On His Jail Sentence
His fine was also commuted from RM210 million to RM50 million.

According to a statement by the board posted on Najib's Facebook page, Najib's new release date will be on 28 August 2028.
His fine has also been reduced from RM210 million to RM50 million.
"However, if the fine is not paid, a year will be added to the jail time for Najib, with the release date being 23 August 2029," said the board today, 2 February.
As of today, the former Pekan member of parliament has only served a total of one year and five months in Kajang Prison.
