We Tried Out This Sleek, Compact Massage Gun & Here's What We Honestly Think
Fits in the palm of your hand.
The day I discovered massage guns existed was truly life-changing
As someone who loves getting massages but tries to avoid paying premium prices for them (Thailand and Bali prices have ruined me), massage guns have been a great alternative.
Of course, they'll never beat a massage from an actual person, but a massage gun is a convenient option whenever I need to loosen tight muscles from sitting at the desk all day or help with post-gym soreness.
I got to review the Atom Mini Massage Gun from Hydragun, a Singapore-based company
The Atom Mini is compact and portable, making it easy to use.
Having tried regular-sized massage guns, I've realised that weight and size do play a factor in how often you want to use them. In my opinion, this is one of the best features of this model.
It costs RM999 and comes with a 1.5-year international warranty.

When standing upright, the Atom Mini is a mere 1.77 inches, about the height of a can of soda or iPhone 13
It has a slim barrel with an ergonomic grip, ensuring that it doesn't strain your hand.
Additionally, it weighs about half as much as a full-sized massage gun (just over 500g), making it easy to lift and position.
Its sleek, anodised aluminium exterior, which is claimed to be sweat- and scratch-resistant, also gives it a premium feel, unlike other massage guns that are often made of plastic and can feel cheap.

It comes with three attachment heads: a ball for everyday use, a flat head for an intense massage, and a bullet head for more targeted and intense use
To be honest, I gravitated towards the flat aluminium head the most. I find that it gets the job done for most aches and pains. Nevertheless, it's still good to have the other attachment head options for when you want to target specific spots.
An additional perk of the Atom Mini is that the flat head can be popped into the fridge and used cold if you need extra soothing.

It has an ultra-long battery life of up to five hours (equivalent to about 30 uses per charge) and includes a USB-C cable, a microfibre cleaning cloth, and a sturdy, portable case
Another plus point is that when in use, it's pretty quiet, with noise levels running between 53dB (min) and 60dB (max) — just a bit louder than your phone vibrating.
It's also easy to use — just hold down the on/off button, and it'll turn on, offering three vibration levels.

So, what's the verdict?
Does it feel premium? Yes. However, it's worth noting that there are also more affordable options available in the market. The only drawback on this product is the price.
In saying that though, you do get a sleek-looking, premium tool that can fit in the palm of your hand, making it ideal for travel or tossing into your gym bag.
It also comes with a 30-day risk-free guarantee, so even if you don't like it, you can return it within the time period.
