Woman Goes Viral For Doing A Presentation On What Colour Her Family's Baju Raya Should Be

Deciding on a Hari Raya Aidilfitri outfit theme for the whole family can be a daunting task.
However, a Malaysian woman recently went viral for her clever approach to simplifying this tough decision-making process.
In a 41-second clip posted by user @kuahdal on TikTok, the woman shared that she gathered her entire family for a presentation to choose the theme for their outfits for the upcoming festive season.
Her presentation included several slides with photos for inspiration. Some of the images featured models showcasing traditional baju kurung and baju Melayu, providing visual examples of how the outfits could look.
Additionally, she included a colour chart displaying a variety of attractive shades that would complement the occasion.

In a conversation with SAYS, the woman shared that her family frequently gathers on Sundays to catch up with each other
At one such gathering, she decided to present her creative idea for coordinating their Hari Raya Aidilfitri outfits.
"I created the slides at 3am because I couldn't sleep, and it took me only 30 minutes to prepare the materials.
"My family was impressed by the presentation, especially the history slide because I was able to track down every colour and theme that we've worn since 2012," she said.
She further explained that she took the lead in the decision-making process because her family had always faced challenges in selecting a theme, often leaving the decision until the last minute.
"Thankfully, the presentation was a success! We decided to colour block this year — the girls will wear pink, and the guys will wear green or blue," she added.

At the time of writing, the video has garnered over 1.5 million views, with netizens sharing the colours they have chosen for their own Hari Raya outfits
"This is so true. [Deciding on a theme is difficult because] one wants to wear apple green while the other wants sky blue," commented a user.

"I've been asking my mum to choose olive green since last year. In the end, she told me, 'We'll go with brick orange and we can do the olive green colour you want for next year'," wrote another.

"Oh no, I thought a lot of people would pick brick orange. But based on these comments, it seems like they're going for sage green, emerald or dusty green," wrote another in disappointment.
