Malaysians are cheekily inviting football icon David Beckham to hang out while he is in Kuala Lumpur
Since last night, 31 January, about 11,000 netizens have flocked to Beckham's latest Instagram post to welcome the former Manchester United midfielder to Malaysia.
"I mean… Wow… What a view, what a city," wrote the 48-year-old former footballer, captioning a photo of himself in front of the PETRONAS Twin Towers with an adidas logo in the background.
An Instagram user quipped, "But you're the view."
In the comments section, thousands of Malaysians can be seen trying their luck by inviting the megastar to _lepak_ (hang out) in the capital city
"If you are free tomorrow, drop by our house. We'll be serving food," wrote @aisyajway, a local vegan influencer.
"Sorry, Dave. I had a meeting earlier when you wanted to come to [my] house. You didn't inform me earlier," local actor Beto Kusyairy said cheekily.
Many netizens also invited Beckham to hang out at a mamak.
"Jom, lepak mamak," commented an Instagram user, while local actor and film director Hairul Azreen asked Beckham which mamak restaurant they should meet at.

Beckham is currently on a global promotion tour for athletic shoes and apparel brand adidas
According to his Instagram posts over the past week, he has visted South Korea and Thailand.
He will appear at The Exchange TRX today, 1 February, to officiate the World of the Predator Exhibition for adidas, reported Harian Metro.
This morning, Hot FM reported that Beckham attended the launch of the adidas Women's Football Programme at Bukit Kiara Royal Sports Club.
