Kiwanis Club TTDI Teams Up With BFBW To Gift Free Books To Underprivileged Children

The Kiwanis Club of Taman Tun Dr Ismail (KCTTDI) and Books for a Better World (BFBW) have collaborated to gift underprivileged children with books in order to spread joy and promote literacy
In conjunction with the Christmas celebrations last month, an event was held at Paradigm Mall PJ to bring the kids some festive cheer.
Not only did children who attended the event receive their storybook gifts, they also participated in a gift exchange activity where they had the option to swap books with each other. To complete the experience, the kids enjoyed a KFC meal and a coconut beverage from Cocolicious.
The event was made merrier by a delightful choir performance by the talented children from Dignity for Children Foundation. The children from Dignity also received a book as a gift, alongside other refugee children from an organisation called Myanmar Refugee Community Learning Centre (MRCLC). The audience was also captivated by a special performance from Aaqil, a proud advocate and a neurodivergent himself.

The winners, Sean Puon Chung Vui (first place), Alethea Anjali Choi (second place), and Tishay Thriyhan Tesanggu (third place), walked away with RM1,750 worth of shopping vouchers courtesy of Paradigm Mall PJ.
Malveen Kaur Gill, the highly esteemed Ms Face of Humanity Malaysia 2023 and BFBW Ambassador, personally presented the prizes and Christmas gifts to the children. Her presence served as an inspiration for the children, showing them that they are valued and deserving of special attention.
