The Burj Al Arab, Dubai's iconic hotel, held a spectacular Lunar New Year dragon drone show that has left the Internet in awe

Dubai-based professional photographer and videographer pixtarami captured the incredible moment on his iPhone 15 Pro Max.

You can watch a snippet of it below:

The show, held on Sunday, 11 February, drew a crowd to witness the 300m-dragon circling the building.

A whopping 1,500 drones were used in the show, which reportedly broke a Guinness World Record as the first drone show to circle a building

According to New Zealand media outlet, Stuff, nine months of planning went into the drone formation, resulting in this mesmerising show, which many say is even better than fireworks.

As the dragon gracefully circled the building, it even transitioned through a spectrum of colours, from blue to green, red, and yellow hues.

Dubai wasn't the only place that celebrated the new year with a drone show

Marina Bay Sands in Singapore illuminated the skies with 'The Legend of the Dragon Gate: Drone Show', a stunning display that drew massive crowds and also featured 1,500 drones.

Some 3,000 drones also formed a dragon over Tianfu International Convention Centre in Chengdu, China, on 7 February.

South Korea celebrated their new year earlier this year with a dazzling display of drones in the shape of a dragon flying over Gwangalli Beach
