MyGameOn (MGO) has clinched the prestigious Esports Media of the Year Award at the inaugural Malaysia Esports Awards 2023, marking a historic moment for the local esports industry

A leading esports media platform under REV Media Group, MGO is dedicated to providing comprehensive coverage, insightful analyses, and engaging content within the vibrant Malaysian esports community.

Held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) on 27 January, Malaysia Esports Awards 2023 celebrated the outstanding contributions of key players in the Malaysian esports ecosystem

The Esports Media of the Year category recognised media entities that have demonstrated excellence and innovation, as well as left a significant impact within the highly competitive esports landscape.

MGO faced stiff competition from notable nominees, including WTM Today, Arked MY, Gamers Gazette MY, and Esportsmy, but utimately emerged victorious. MGO stood out among the contenders, showcasing a commitment to quality content, community engagement, and overall excellence in esports media.

"We are thrilled and honoured to receive the Esports Media of the Year Award at the Malaysia Esports Awards. This recognition is a testament to our team's dedication to delivering top-notch content and fostering the growth of esports in Malaysia," said Samuel Wee, Chief Executive Officer at REV Media Group.

Organised by Alive Asia Events in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Malaysia Esports Federation, and EsportsIntegrated, the award ceremony brought together a panel of 22 esteemed judges, including well-known figures in the esports community such as MasterRamen, Farouq (Flava), and Abang Lord.

Voting for award category nominations took place prior to the event, with the final winners determined by the panel of judges to ensure a fair and transparent selection process.

The Malaysia Esports Awards not only highlighted the achievements of outstanding media organisations but also celebrated excellence in 16 categories

This included categories like Esports Team of the Year, Player of the Year (Male) and (Female), and Organisation of the Year.

Other notable winners include Cheng "NothingToSay" Jin Xiang, who won three awards — Player of the Year (Male), MVP of the Year, and MOBA Player of the Year. Meanwhile, Natasha "Tashbunny" Hashim received the Esports Host of the Year Award.
