<p>In a <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" href="https://www.facebook.com/xiiao.ning.71/posts/7193847740675081">Facebook post</a> on Wednesday, 17 January, the woman said the incident occurred when she was dining at Haidilao with her family in AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18.</p>
<p>As she left the hotpot restaurant for the restroom, a person dressed entirely in black, including a black hat and mask, began following her.</p>
<p>&#8220;<b>Midway to the restroom, I noticed the person was still tailing me</b>. </p>
<p>&#8220;I quickened my pace towards the bathroom and I saw the person nervously pulled something out of his bag.</p>
<p>&#8220;<b>I saw a dark object resembling a gun drop to the ground</b>.<b></b> Panicked, I quickly hid in the restroom and called my boyfriend for help, urging him to come quickly,&#8221; she recounted.</p>

<p>The woman claimed that the man had mysteriously disappeared.</p>
<p>It was then that a concerned bystander, a Chinese uncle, approached the distressed couple.</p>
<p>According to her, <b>the uncle said he had witnessed the man following her, prompting him to wait at the restroom&#8217;s entrance to ensure her safety</b>.</p>
<p>&#8220;The uncle said, &#8216;My wife and I saw a man following you to the toilet. I was worried that you would be in danger.&#8217;</p>
<p>&#8220;The uncle was worried that something would happen to me and kept waiting for me until I came out from the restroom. He asked me if I was okay before leaving.</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m glad that a passerby took notice of the situation. Otherwise, I can&#8217;t imagine what would have happened to me. It&#8217;s so scary. My whole body is still shaking even now. I was so scared that I cried,&#8221; she wrote.</p>

<p>Many netizens expressed their disbelief at the woman&#8217;s experience, and asked for more details about the incident.</p>
<p>&#8220;Was the incident captured on CCTV? Did you inform the management?&#8221; inquired a concerned Facebook user.</p>
<p>The woman responded, &#8220;There were at least three CCTVs that captured him following me. When he was struggling to retrieve an object resembling a gun from his pocket, he was standing directly under a CCTV. I&#8217;m not certain if the exact moment was recorded on CCTV.&#8221;</p>
<p>One netizen asked if she had filed a police report; she replied that she was unsure if it would be helpful. This prompted more netizens to encourage her to file a police report.</p>
