1. It has a new hybrid outsole technology that gives you better grip and softness

One of the most significant updates to the GEL-NIMBUS 26 is the addition of the new HYBRID ASICSGRIP technology. This is a combination of ASICSGRIP and AHARPLUS outsole rubbers that work to deliver better traction, improved softness, and advanced durability for the wearer.

This means that you can run on any surface, without worrying about slipping or wearing out your shoes. Additionally, the outsole also provides you with a smooth and responsive stride.

2. It has an improved midfoot fit that gives you more support and breathability

Another update to the GEL-NIMBUS 26 is the improved midfoot fit that comes with an engineered knit upper and an updated eyelet construction. The knit upper is lightweight and breathable, reducing the need for additional overlays that can cause irritation or discomfort.

The eyelets are also designed to create a softer, but more supportive midfoot hold that adapts to your foot shape and movement. This gives you a snug and secure fit that prevents your foot from sliding or rubbing inside the shoe.

3. It has an eco-friendly and energetic midsole that gives you cloud-like cushioning

The GEL-NIMBUS 26 features the same FF BLAST PLUS ECO cushioning that was used in the previous model. This is a lightweight and energetic foam that creates cloud-like cushioning over a range of distances, making you feel like you’re running on air.

The best part is that this foam is made from approximately 24% bio-based content from renewable sources such as leftover waste from sugar cane processing. This means that you’re not just running in comfort, but also making a sustainable choice.

4. It has a rearfoot gel technology that gives you softer landings

The GEL-NIMBUS 26 also benefits from ASICS’ rearfoot PureGEL technology, a material that is lighter and 65% softer than conventional GEL technology. This provides even softer landings for your heel, reducing the impact and shock that can cause injuries or fatigue.

The PureGEL technology also works with the FF BLAST PLUS ECO cushioning to create a smooth transition from heel to toe, enhancing your running efficiency and stride.

5. It has a knit collar construction that looks modern and gives off a luxurious feel

The knit collar wraps around your ankle, providing a cosy and comfortable fit that prevents any chafing or blistering.
