<p><p>It is said that MGIE uses multimodal large language models (MLLMs) to interpret text commands to manipulate images.</p>
<p><a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" href="http://lowyat.net/" title="Link: http://lowyat.net/">Lowyat.net</a>&nbsp;reported that Apple&#8217;s AI model excels at turning simple or unclear text prompts into clear instructions, which helps with communication in the photo editing process.</p>
<p>According to&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" href="https://www.theverge.com/2024/2/7/24065125/apple-generative-ai-image-editing-mgie-open-source-model">The Verge</a>, you can try MGIE on GitHub or through a demo on Hugging Face Spaces.</p>

<p><p>MGIE allows users to crop, resize, and rotate images, as well as adjust brightness, contrast, and colour balance, just by using text commands.</p>
<p>Additionally, users can also modify details of a picture like hair, eyes, or clothes, and even remove backgrounds.</p>
<p>However, it is reported that MGIE is still in its infancy stages, and is not expected to be integrated into Apple devices anytime soon. Apple has not announced its plans for the AI model beyond research.</p>
